Pre-Conference Event: Oct. 30

7th Annual Retreat for Women with Stage IV Breast Cancer

You are invited to attend the 7th Annual Retreat for women with Stage IV Breast Cancer on Thursday, October 30, 2008, at the Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center. The retreat will begin at 11 am and continue into the evening. Join us for a wonderful opportunity to meet other women and share experiences related to coping with metastatic disease.

The program will include general coping strategies, writing as a technique to carry us through the challenges of healing, and exercise and movement. We will dine together, have opportunities to swim, exercise, and use the spa, and most importantly spend time with other survivors. Meals, including lunch and dinner, and overnight accommodations at the Sheraton will be provided at no charge to Vermont and New Hampshire residents through a grant from the Vermont-New Hampshire Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The next day, participants can attend the 11th Annual Breast Cancer Conference, presented by the Vermont Cancer Center.

A limited number of scholarships are available for New York State residents. Survivors from other states are welcome to attend but will need to pay to participate.
