Julie Adams, PT, DPT, CLT-LANA
Julie has been with Fletcher Allen since 2003. She is currently the Therapy Supervisor of the Rehabilitation Outpatient Center, which is the site of the outpatient lymphedema therapy program. Julie received her physical therapy degree from the University of Vermont in 1991 and a doctorate in physical therapy from Simmons College in 2006. She works primarily with patients with complex medical conditions, and is very involved with program development for cancer patients. (Sessions 2-8, 4-9)

Sue Aldous
Sue Aldous has been a medical transcriptionist for Fletcher Allen Health Care for over a decade. As a volunteer for the Volunteer Services Department at Fletcher Allen for six years, Sue has knitted or crocheted and donated items from caps and blankets for preemies, to lap robes for patients in the rehab center, to comfort shawls for Breast Care Center patients. (Sessions 2-11, 5-14)

Kathleen Attfield
Ms. Attfield is a staff scientist with the Silent Spring Institute in Newton, MA. She has experience in geographic information systems (GIS), urban ecology, and biochemistry. Ms. Attfield is responsible for managing the Institute's GIS database and providing data collection and management for an ongoing study of groundwater contamination. She will also be contributing to a review of current scientific literature on environmental pollutants and breast cancer and development of a bibliographic database. Ms. Attfield earned her BSc. with honors in biochemistry from Brown University. (Session 6-4)

Elaine Belanger PT, CLT
Ms. Belanger received her lymphedema training through Klose-Norton Consultants in 2003. She has specialized in lymphedema treatment for the past 3 years. She is employed by Fletcher Allen Health Care, Rehab Outpatient Center, treating both in and outpatient cases. (Sessions 2-8, 4-9)

Lesli R. Bell, PT, CLT-LANA
Lesli founded Timberlane Physical Therapy in 1987. Since then she has specialized in the treatment of TMJ and neck, back and thoracic dysfunction. She has also been a LANA certified Lymphedema Therapist since 1997. Lesli's particular interest is in working with breast cancer patients with post-operative swelling and/or other post-operative orthopedic problems. (Sessions 5-16, 6-14)

Edie Bernhardt, PT, ATRIC
Edie holds degrees from UVM and CCV in physical therapy and body work and massage. She has expertise in soft tissue pain management and has had extensive training with JFB-myofascial release techniques. She has earned national certification as an aquatic therapist and has been part of the development of aquatic therapy in many of the local and regional programs. She currently is the Director of Aquatic Rehabilitation Services at the Physical Therapy Center of Vermont and is a visiting instructor in aquatic therapy at UVM. (Session 6-7)

Zail S. Berry, MD, MPH
Dr. Berry is an internist, geriatrician, and palliative medicine specialist providing home medical care to persons with serious illness in Chittenden County. She serves as Co-Medical Director of the Hospice of the Champlain Valley and is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. (Session 6-6)

Nancy Bianchi, MSLIS
Ms. Bianchi is a Library Associate Professor and a reference librarian at the Dana Medical Library, University of Vermont. She has organized and staffed the Dana Library's exhibit at the Breast Cancer Conference since the first conference in 1997. (Session 2-6)

Jane Birnn, RN, MS, MEd
Jane Birnn is a part time Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Vermont Department of Nursing. She is certified as an advanced practice holistic nurse, a Healing Touch practitioner, and in integrative guided imagery. (Session 3-3)

Betty Blouin, RN
Ms. Blouin currently works as a nurse for Project Independence. Ms. Blouin is co-founder of The Central Vermont Cancer Support Group, The Christian Mediation Center and The Foundation for Compassionate Care. (Sessions 4-10, 5-10)

Susan M. Bouffard, RN
Susan Bouffard received her BA from Trinity College and her BSN from the University of Vermont in 1988. She works at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Breast Care Center as a Clinical Program Coordinator. (Session 2-5)

Candice Brueck, PT, ATC, CLT
Candice practices physical therapy at Timberlane Physical Therapy, and completed her training to become a certified lymphedema therapist in 2003. She has an extensive background in working with athletes, including serving as an athletic trainer at the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in Atlanta. Candice's areas of interest include the treatment of the foot/ankle, shoulder, and lymphedema. (Sessions 1-14, 2-14)

Susan Burdette-Radoux, MD
Dr. Burdette-Radoux is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine/Fletcher Allen Health Care and joined the Hematology/Oncology Division in 2002. She has a primary interest in clinical trials of immunotherapy and agents with novel mechanisms of action in the areas of breast cancer, melanoma and brain tumors. (Sessions 2-2, L-1)

Paul Burns
Paul is the Executive Director of VPIRG. Paul has been working as an organizer, advocate and attorney on toxics issues for over 20 years. He has co-authored numerous reports including Generations at Risk, which was later released as a book. (Sessions 2-12, 5-13)

Julia A. Child, PT, CLT-LANA
Julia Child is a certified lymphedema therapist trained in the Casley-Smith, Dorit Tidar, and Vodder methods of lymphedema management practicing at Middlebury Physical Therapy in Middlebury Vermont. (Sessions 3-7, 5-11)

Margie Cole, MSW
Margie is a member of the board of the VT-NH affiliate of Komen for the Cure, and is chair of the Education Committee. She also runs the NH Emergency Fund which serves women with breast cancer, and is funded through the local affiliate of Komen for the Cure. She is a social worker employed at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in the Breast Care Center. (Sessions 1-9, 2-9)

Rose Colletti, PhD
Dr. Colletti is a staff psychologist with the Cancer Patient Support Program. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Section of Surgical Oncology at the University of Vermont. (Session 2-4)

Angel Collins, MS, RN
Angel Collins is the Director of End-of-Life Care Services at the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties and Adjunct Faculty for the School of Nursing at the University of Vermont. Ms. Collins has been working in health care since 1983. She completed her MS degree in Nursing at the University of Vermont in 1998 and has focused her nursing career on end-of-life care and nursing administration. She has extensive experience in Hospice and palliative care in both the acute care and home care settings. (Session 5-4)

Ann Cooper
Ann Cooper is a breast cancer survivor and a member of the Spiritual Care staff at Fletcher Allen Health Care. (Session 1-12)

Karen & Dave Crawford
Karen and Dave Crawford have been married for 16 years and have two children. Karen was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in the spring of 2004. Dave is a construction project manager at IBM. Both are members of Christ Memorial Church where Dave serves as an elder and coordinates the men's group. (Sessions 4-4, 5-5, 6-5)

Rev. Mr. Regis Cummings
Rev. Cummings is a Permanent Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church, assigned to Saint Augustine Church in Montpelier. He is co-founder of several groups including the Central Vermont Cancer Support Group (1984) and the Christian Mediation Center in Montpelier (1989). He is also a member of the Central Vermont Hospital Ethics Committee and Clergy Advisory board. (Sessions 4-10, 5-10)

Justine McCuen Dee PT, MS, CLT-LANA
Ms. Dee is a physical therapist whose clinical practice is in the area of sports medicine and general orthopedics, with an expertise in treating patients with shoulder and lower extremity injuries. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and on the board of directors for the Vermont Lymphedema Network. She works at Dee Physical Therapy in South Burlington, VT, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont in the Department of Movement Science and Rehabilitation. (Session 1-8)

Brent C. Devenney, RN, OCN, MDiv
Brent is a Clinical Program Coordinator at the Vermont Cancer Center at Fletcher Allen Health Care. He has been an oncology nurse for most of his 15 year career in nursing, working in both the hospital and outpatient settings. He also holds a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX and serves as Pastor at Daybreak Community Church in Colchester, VT. (Session 3-8)

Kim Dittus, MD, PhD
Dr. Dittus is an attending physician at Fletcher Allen Health Care and an assistant professor in the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She holds a PhD in nutrition, completed medical school and residency at East Tennessee State University and her Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Fletcher Allen. She is pursuing an academic medical career with a research focus on mechanisms by which exercise may prevent cancer recurrence and improve survival. (Session 5-2)

Linda Dyer
Linda is a 15-year breast cancer survivor. She is currently the Founder and Executive Director of Dragonheart Vermont. It is a breast cancer support organization here in Vermont where the focus is on living rather than the disease. The group is incorporating the paddling sport of dragon boating into life after breast cancer. Linda is also the Executive Director of the Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival. This favorite summertime event gets the entire community out dragon boat racing for fun, fitness, and fundraising. The festival has raised over $175,000 in the last three years for cancer-related causes right here in our Vermont community. (Session 1-5)

Ellen Fein, LCSW, RYT
Ellen Fein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified yoga teacher. She teaches yoga to those with serious illness and also runs workshops and groups about healing and mind-body techniques such as imagery and meditation. (Sessions 3-9, 4-8)

Barry Finette, PhD, MD
Dr. Finette is a Professor of Pediatrics at UVM/Fletcher Allen, studying the association between genetic changes, environmental genotoxic exposures and the development of cancer in children. Since 2000, Dr. Finette has been on the President's Task Force on Environmental and Safety Risks to Children. He is the recipient of several distinguished awards, including the NIH Physician Scientist Award, the NCI Howard Temin Award and the Burroughs Wellcome Clinical Scientist in Translational Research Award. He earned his PhD in microbiology and his MD at the University of Texas. (Session 5-3)

Mary Flemming, RN, CLT
Mary Flemming, RN, CLT, has been teaching yoga for 15 years in the Central Vermont area. She has worked in nursing for over 30 years and holds certifications in both Oncology and Lymphedema. She studies regularly in India at the Iyengar Institute, which is well known for its teachings in the therapeutic application of yoga.

Patricia is a published poet, a University of Vermont adjunct faculty member and a breast cancer survivor. (Session 1-7)

Felicia Foster, RN, BS, DAy
Ms Foster is a nurse with a special interest in providing available information on the safe integration of vitamins, herbal supplements and pharmaceuticals. She works at Healthy Living Market and is in collaboration with health care professionals at Fletcher Allen and UVM to better serve our community. (Session 1-11)

Stephanie Fraser, MSW
Stephanie Fraser, MSW, is a Hematology/Oncology Social Worker, covering the outpatient clinic in the Vermont Cancer Center's clinical space at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She has worked with cancer patients and their families for eight years. In addition, she helps manage and administer the Cancer Patient Support Program's Emergency Fund, a fund created to provide emergency relief to patients who find themselves in financial crisis due to their illness. In November of 2005, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and underwent surgery and six cycles of chemotherapy. During her treatment and recovery, she kept herself in shape by training for the 100-mile LiveSTRONG Challenge bike ride to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation, held in September 2006. She successfully finished the century ride in Philadelphia six months after completing chemotherapy. In late October 2008, Stephanie will again be participating in the LiveSTRONG Challenge, to be held in Austin, TX, October 25-26th. (Session 2-16)

Berta Geller, EdD
Dr. Geller is a researcher at the Office of Health Promotion Research at the University of Vermont whose primary areas of research are breast and colorectal cancer screening, and cancer survivorship. She is the principal investigator of the Vermont Mammography Registry and a member of the National Cancer Institute's Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium. This past April, a group of cancer survivors and Dr. Geller started the Cancer Survivor Community Study with funding from the National Cancer Institute. (Session 5-15)

Rebecca Gray
Rebecca Gray is a writer working for Dartmouth College. She has published in many magazines, and is an editor for the 75th Anniversary edition of "Joy of Cooking," and is currently at work on her ninth book about food. She received her degree in Journalism from Boston University. A nine-year breast cancer survivor, Rebecca also served on the Board of Directors of the VT-NH Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. (Session 3-6)

Deborah Harris, PT, RD, CLT-LANA
Deborah has worked in health care for over 13 years, with her primary focus in outpatient orthopaedics and women's health. Deborah is a certified Lymphedema Therapist in Casley-Smith Technique and a member of the Lymphedema Association of North America. She holds Bachelors Degrees in General Dietetics and Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont. (Session 6-7)

Seth Harlow, MD
Dr. Harlow is an Associate Professor at the University of Vermont. He is also the Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology and the Director of the Breast Care Center at Fletcher Allen Health Care. (Session L-1)

Jean Harvey-Berino, PhD, RD
Dr. Harvey-Berino is a nationally recognized researcher and expert on the subjects of weight loss, obesity and nutrition, particularly Internet-based interventions for weight loss and weight maintenance. She is co-author of the award-winning book, The EatingWell Diet: Introducing the Vtrim Weight-loss Program. She holds BS and MS degrees in Nutrition from The Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Vermont. (Session 1-11)

Robin Hayden, NP
Robin Hayden is an Adult Nurse Practitioner working in the Breast Care Center/Surgical Oncology Service at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She received her NP/MSN degree from Simmons College, Boston in 1980. She spent many years as a primary care/women's health care provider and has been working at Fletcher Allen since 2000. (Session 1-6)

Sally Herschorn, MD
Dr. Herschorn is the Medical Director of the Breast Imaging Division at Fletcher Allen Health Care and an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. (Session 1-3, L-1)

Ted James, MD
Dr. James is a Surgical Oncologist at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Breast Care Center, and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Vermont. His research interests include cancer prevention, tumor biology, and cancer health disparities. (Session 3-5)

Kristi C. Johnson, PT, CLT-LANA
Kristi practices physical therapy at Timberlane Physical Therapy, and has been a certified lymphedema therapist since 1999. Kristi specializes in lymphedema treatment and post mastectomy/lumpectomy surgery. Her experience as an orthopedic physical therapist and an avid sport enthusiast has complemented her focus for individuals who are interested in exercise and sports. (Sessions 1-14, 4-11, 5-16, 6-14)

Catherine King, MA, LCMHC
Catherine King is an Activities Therapist on inpatient psychiatry at Fletcher Allen. She holds a Master's Degree in Art Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. (Session 6-11)

David Krag, MD
David Krag, MD, is S. D. Ireland Professor of Surgical Oncology, with a research career focused on developing innovative methods to diagnose and treat cancer. He pioneered the development of radiotracer-guided surgery of sentinel lymph nodes in cancer, and is now working to achieve targeted delivery of cancer therapeutics to tumors. He is also an entrepreneur, with a new venture, Plomics, built around a new method for organizing and delivering biomedical information. (Session 3-4

David Leitner, MD
David Leitner, MD, is Professor of Surgery at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and is a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Fletcher Allen. His areas of clinical subspecialty expertise are Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Breast reconstruction, Cosmetic, Skin Cancer, Hand, Cleft Lip and Palate Surgery, and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery. Richard Lovett, MD
Dr. Lovett graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his residency at Framingham (MA) Union Hospital, MA, and Washington University in St. Louis. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and sees patients at Radiation Medicine Affiliates, Community Cancer Center at the Rutland Regional Medical Center. Robert Macauley, MD
Dr. Macauley is a Palliative Care Physician and Director of Clinical Ethics at Fletcher Allen Health Care and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the UVM College of Medicine. (Session 2-7)

Margaret MacLeary, RN
Margaret MacLeary works as a Nurse Navigator at the Breast Care Center at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She has been a nurse at Fletcher Allen for 34 years. (Session 2-5)

Sally Mattson, MA
Sally Mattson is a licensed psychologist practicing in Brattleboro, Vermont. She has been in practice for 26 years, specializing in individual and couples' counseling. She is a breast cancer survivor and is currently writing a book of narratives based on her interviews with breast cancer survivors. (Sessions 1-9, 2-9, 5-9, 6-8)

Jennifer May, RD, CD
Jennifer May is a Registered Dietitian working full-time with the Cancer Patient Support Program. She provides nutrition counseling to patients at the Vermont Cancer Center at Fletcher Allen Health Care and offers workshops and lectures to the community on various cancer and cancer prevention topics. She received her BS in Dietetics/Nutrition & Food Sciences at the University of Vermont and completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. (Session 3-1)

Kathleen McBeth, MA
Kathleen McBeth is a full time coordinator with the Cancer Patient Support Program in the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She is a Licensed Psychologist, with a focus on health psychology and adjustment to illness. She is a seven-year lymphoma survivor, who after her treatment, decided to return to school to become a licensed psychologist and work with cancer survivors and their caregivers. She is a graduate of St. Michael's College. (Sessions 1-13, L-3, 5-9, 6-8)

Wendy McKinnon, MS
Wendy McKinnon is a certified genetic counselor who specializes in genetic counseling and testing for familial cancer. Ms. McKinnon is the genetic counselor for the Familial Cancer Program of the Vermont Cancer Center at Fletcher Allen Health Care, which is a multidisciplinary program for individuals and families at-risk for hereditary cancer. (Sessions 3-2, L-2)

Sister Pat McKittrick, RN
Sister Pat McKittrick is a registered nurse currently employed at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She coordinates the Health Ministries program. Sister recognizes the importance of healing body, mind and spirit. (Session 4-3)

Nicole Messier, RN
Nicole Messier graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor's degree in nursing and now works at Fletcher Allen as the nurse navigator for the Upper GI Multidisciplinary Clinic in the Vermont Cancer Center at Fletcher Allen. (Session 2-5)

Andrea Miller, NP
Andrea Miller is a certified nurse practitioner in the Breast Care Center at Fletcher Allen Heath Care where she provides care for women in all stages of their breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. (Session 5-12)

Cathy Munteanu, PT, CLT-LANA
Catherine Munteanu, PT, CLT-LANA, holds a BS degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac College and is trained in the Casley-Smith method. She received her LANA certification in 2002. Her lymphedema therapy focus has been on the treatment of secondary lymphedema, as well as other types of edema. (Session 5-11)

Hyman B. Muss, MD
Dr. Muss practices medical oncology at Fletcher Allen Health Care where he is also active in research. He is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Muss also participates on several national boards for the Cancer and Leukemia Group B and the American Board of Internal Medicine. (Session 4-1)

Lee Nelson, DPT, MS
Lee has been a clinical faculty member at UVM since 1974, and is currently the Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Science, with responsibilities for a program that places students in supervised Clinical Education experiences throughout the country. Her clinical work has primarily been in the area of swelling management, particularly for individuals with lymphedema. Lee is active professionally at the state and national levels, serving, since 2000, as one of two Advisors for Physical Therapy Practice to the Vermont Secretary of State's Office. (Session 1-8)

Johannes "Chris" Nunnink, MD
Dr. Nunnink is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine and an attending physician at Fletcher Allen Health Care. He sees patients at the Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine. (Session 6-3)

Patricia O'Brien, MD
Dr. O'Brien trained at the University of Vermont College of Medicine specializing in internal medicine. She currently provides lymphedema consultations at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She serves as Co-Chair of the Annual Breast Cancer Conference and is the Chair of the grant committee for the VT-NH affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She has served on many event boards including the Stowe Weekend of Hope, Education Chairwoman for the Komen Vermont-New Hampshire Affiliate, and board member of the Cancer Patient Support Program. Dr. O'Brien is an eleven-year breast cancer survivor. (Sessions 2-1, L-4, 6-2)

John Olson, MEd
John Olson coordinates Vermonters Taking Action Against Cancer (VTAAC), a statewide partnership of 140+ individuals, organizations and professionals that created Vermont's second strategic plan for cancer prevention and control. Previously, he was the Director of Education at Vermont CARES in Burlington where he developed and managed HIV/AIDS prevention programs in northwestern & central Vermont. John received his Master of Education degree from the University of Vermont. (Sessions 4-5, 5-8)

Valerie Pallotta, RA
Valerie Pallotta is a Registered Aromatherapist and has been studying Aromatherapy since 1994. She is the former Vermont Director for the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy, and holds certificates from the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy, The Michael Scholes School for Aromatic Studies and the Masters Level Apprenticeship Program through Northwest College for Herbal and Aromatic Studies. (Session 6-9)

Elizabeth Peterson, MPH
Elizabeth Peterson is currently an epidemiologist with the Vermont Department of Health, where she is responsible for surveillance and evaluation of chronic disease prevention efforts throughout the state. Liz is also a member of the steering committee for VTAAC – Vermonters Taking Action Against Cancer. (Session 2-10)

Janis Peyser, PhD
Dr. Peyser is a clinical associate professor of psychiatry and neurology at the UVM College of Medicine. She was director of Medical Psychology at the Medical Center Hospital/FAHC from 1980 to 2001. She is now in independent practice. (Session 5-7)

Allan Ramsay, MD
Dr. Ramsay is Professor and Associate Chair of Family Medicine at the University of Vermont and Director of Inpatient Family Medicine Services and Palliative Care Services at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Dr. Ramsay practices at the Colchester Family Practice and is Medical Director of Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester, Vermont.

Deborah Rubin, MD
Deborah Rubin, MD is Associate Professor of Radiology and an attending physician in the department of Radiation Oncology. Dr Rubin's primary practice interests are in the care of women with breast cancer, and end of life care. She has also maintained an interest in medical research and is Chair of the Committee on Human Research at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. (Session L-1)

Leigh Sampson
Leigh Sampson has been part of the Health Initiatives staff at the American Cancer Society for nearly five years, focusing on providing support services to cancer patients. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia and completed a Master's degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University in Washington DC. She has a graduate certificate in Public Health from George Washington University. (Session 4-7)

Cindy Schafer
Cindy Schaefer was certified in therapeutic massage by the Finger Lakes School of Massage in 1996 and earned a New York state license in 1997. She trained in cancer-specific massage with nationally renowned Tracy Walton prior to beginning work at Fletcher Allen Health Care in the "Helping Hands" massage therapy program, which serves Hematology/Oncology inpatients and outpatients. (Session 6-12)

Emmanuel Soultanakis, MD
Dr Soultanakis received his medical degree from the University of Vermont, completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UVM/Fletcher Allen, and his Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Brown University/Women & Infants Hospital. He joined the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Fletcher Allen in 2003 and is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont. (Session 5-6)

Kerry Stanley, MSW
Kerry is the Patient Navigator in the Hematology Oncology clinic at Fletcher Allen Health Care. She holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Vermont. (Session 2-5)

Mary Stanley, MD
Mary Stanley has been a breast surgeon in the community since 1998. She specializes in both benign and malignant breast problems. She is the chairperson of the Breast Care Center Steering Committee. Dr. Stanley practices in Williston in a center dedicated to women's health care. (Session 4-6)

Christian Thomas, MD
Dr. Thomas is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He is in clinical practice in Burlington, Vermont at Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine and Blood Disorders. (Session 1-2)

Paul Unger, MD
Dr. Unger is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, a hematologist and medical oncologist on Fletcher Allen's medical staff and a member of the Vermont Cancer Center. He cares for patients at the Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine. (Session 4-4)

Carol Vallett, EdD
Ms. Vallett is the Dean of Continuing Education at the University of Vermont, a breast cancer survivor and advocate, and a Consumer Reviewer for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs in 2008. (Session 6-13)

Kathy Weatherly, OT, CLT-LANA
Kathy Weatherly is an occupational therapist who has been specializing in lymphedema since 1994. She holds a BA in Art and Occupational Therapy and a BS in Business from Mount Mary College. In 1994, she was trained by Prof. Leduc in the Leduc method of Lymphedema treatment, and has completed the introductory, advanced and certification levels of training. She is currently the owner of Solaris, Inc., Brookfield, WI, which manufactures and distributes specialty products for lymphedema treatment, and continues to treat lymphedema patients through her private practice. (Session 6-10)

Donald Weaver, MD
Dr. Weaver received his MD from the University of Vermont followed by a general surgery internship, pathology residency, and analytical cytology fellowship. He joined the faculty of the UVM College of Medicine in 1990 and is also an attending physician at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Dr. Weaver's current research focuses on the prognostic significance of occult micrometastases in sentinel lymph nodes from breast cancer patients enrolled on a large cooperative group trial (NSABP B-32). He also studies population-based pathology outcomes in breast cancer surveillance through mammography and image-based screening. (Session L-1)

Augusta Wilson, RN
Augusta Wilson received her BS in nursing from the University of Vermont. She has been a research coordinator for the Osteoporosis Center and for Rheumatology at Fletcher Allen Health Care since 2004. In addition to working with research patients, Augusta works as a clinical staff nurse for these two specialties and is the nurse educator for the Osteoporosis Center. She does outreach in the community performing osteoporosis screenings and providing education. (Session 1-10)

Cheung Wong, MD
Dr. Wong is the Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Fletcher Allen Health Care and an Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. His clinical practice includes screening women for gynecologic cancers and treating (both surgical and chemotherapy administration) women with gynecologic cancers. Dr. Wong is currently involved in clinical and basic science research, including researching the etiology of ovarian cancer with colleagues at the Vermont Cancer Center. (Session 1-4)

Marie Wood, MD
Dr. Wood is a member of the Vermont Cancer Center and a Professor of Medicine at the UVM College of Medicine. She is a Medical Oncologist in the Fletcher Allen Health Care Hematology/Oncology clinic and Director of the Familial Cancer Program at the University of Vermont. (Session 4-2)
